Our Mission

Dart on a Map exists to make learning world geography fun, free, and accessible to everyone. We believe that understanding our planet—its countries, cultures, and physical features—is essential in an interconnected world. Our interactive world map geography game turns that learning into an engaging experience: throw a dart at the map, discover new places, and learn about countries and flags along the way.

Why We Built This Site

Geography education is often taught through textbooks and static maps. While those have their place, many people learn better through interaction and discovery. We created Dart on a Map to offer a different approach: a free, browser-based world map geography game where users explore the globe by throwing virtual darts and uncovering real locations. Each discovery reveals the country, its flag, and geographical context—helping learners build mental maps of the world.

Our goal is to support students, teachers, parents, and anyone curious about the world. The game works on desktop and mobile, requires no sign-up, and uses real geographical data so that every location you discover is accurate and educational.

What We Offer

Dart on a Map provides:

  • A free interactive geography game – No subscriptions, no paywalls. Play as often as you like.
  • Real-world geography – We use OpenStreetMap and geographical databases to ensure locations, countries, and coordinates are accurate.
  • Multiple learning modes – Explore globally, by continent, or focus on major cities. Choose the level that suits you.
  • Educational guides and articles – Beyond the game, we publish guides on world geography, teaching tips, and how to get the most from our tools.
